| Some years ago I was elected a Fellow of the Craft Potters Association of Great Britain. I am a Full Member of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen and was invited to become an Academician of the South West Academy of Fine and Applied Arts.
A qualified teacher (and former scientist), I have, for many years, been invited to lecture and to demonstrate my work to various Ceramics bodies, for the Craft Potters Association and in Colleges throughout the U.K. and overseas.
My work is found in many private and public collections - both in the UK and around the world, currently including the Netherlands, Canada, Germany, Israel, Palestine, Hawaii, U.S.A.
In 2001 I was asked to become a national External Examiner in Higher Education for Art and Design.
An illustrated biographical Essay covering the progress of my creative life and entitled:-
'Roger Cockram - Stoneware Potter' - was published in 1998 by Richard Dennis Publications.
In 2007, Bonhams of London, the international auction house, commissioned me to make some work for exhibition and auction in March 2008. Following the success of that event, my work was exhibited and auctioned at Bonhams in September 2009,10 and 11 and have been commissioned again for 2012.
